BMW X1 (09 -15)

Thanks to its small dimensions, it’s easy to drive. It comes in two and four-wheel drive and is quite nippy. The 20d SE is a good example. Powered by a 2.0 litre engine, it can deliver 181bhp and 380 Newton-Metres of torque. You will get around 51 mpg too with emissions of about 145 g/km CO2. It’s a comfortable car to drive and doesn’t cost a fortune to keep on the road. The interior is nicely designed and comfortable thanks to the high-quality materials. The X1 is quite practical; there’s plenty of space in the front and back, with ample leg/head room for passengers, and there’s a decent sized boot. The rear seats can also fold down to increase the load space.
