When the Transit Connect was released back in 2002 it really took the small van market by storm, or even transformed it. It quickly became the small van that every rival manufacturer would base their prospective vans on. The Transit Connect was that good it was even outselling some of the lower-end large vans. Still to this day it remains the small van to beat, and still sells in huge numbers. In terms of cargo capacity, the Transit Connect can hold between 2.8 and 3.67 cubic metres, depending on which model you opt for. It can hold a payloads between 625kg and 825kg. Passenger space is impressive and there’s a decent level of standard kit and safety features on board. There are some excellent engines in the range that offer plenty of power, which means it can tow some pretty heavy loads too. To drive, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re sat in a small car. It handles really well, the steering is sharp and the ride is decent.
